Kitty O’Shea’s We return to an old favourite, where hopefully the weather will mean that we can use the balcony best effect.
After the great success of Soi Café Bar last year, we have decided to go back for our Xmas dinner there again (and in any case, the officers missed out last year, and I for one would really like to experience the place!). So thanks again to Grant, our regular restaurant person, for making the arrangements. The date is Friday 19th December (yes, we could not get much closer to Xmas itself!). We will be having the 3-course Xmas dinner – see http://www.soicafebar.co.nz/Set_menus/Page_setmenu.html . Prices have inevitably gone up since last year, but we have decided again to subsidise our members a little. There are just so many reasons for joining Rainbow Wellington!! Places are limited, so early booking is strongly advised.
Rainbow WELLINGTON drinks: 16th January 2009, Jimmy’s Bar A date for your new diaries. For our first drinks evening of 2009, we return to our longest-standing venue, where we recently hosted a successful welcome to the representatives of the Asia-Pacific Outgames. Let us hope the weather will remain as clement. Despite what the Mayor said on that occasion, it is not always so, even in January! See you there, and remember Happy Hour, with cheap drinks, is from 5-6.30 pm.
